Morristown Memorial Hospital and SPAN have joined together to create the Morris County SPAN Regional Resource Center. The new resource center will share space in the Goreyeb Children’s Center located in the lower level of the hospital. The purpose of SPAN training is to expand the network of volunteers and establish a SPAN Resource Center in Morris County. Contact Margaret Hefferle for more information and upcoming programs.

Mission Statement
Lincoln Park Parent's of Exceptional Children is a district-wide organization whose goal is to support children with special needs (of all ages) and their families.

Objectives
  • To provide information to educate and empower parents and caregivers so they can effectively advocate for their child.
  • To provide a forum for emotional support and networking opportunities for parents with other people who "get it."
  • To increase parental involvement in our children's education and foster collaboration and sharing between families and school personnel.
  • To provide programs and information for parents and professionals on current topics in special education.
  • To promote awareness and acceptance of exceptional children in the Lincoln Park Community so they may become fully participating members of that community.
