How many Santa's would it take to deliver presents to all the children in the world? Complete the worksheet below to find out.

A. Using the Population clock, approximately how many children under ten years of age will there be on Christmas Eve of this year? Use the information from the United States Census Bureau as a model for the rest of the world.

B. How many square miles of land are there on the planet earth? Don't forget to deduct the amount covered by water.

C. Calculate how many Santas it will take to deliver all the toys. Develop your own method for doing this but make sure you can justify whatever method you use. You will have to make some assumptions in order to complete the quest. Make these assumptions as logical as possible and be able to explain why you made them.

D. Write a one page report that discusses at least four variables that would affect your answer. How would these variables change your results?
