About Transportation

Ensuring the safe and cost effective transportation of Lincoln Park students is a daily endeavor twelve months of the year. The district contracts with the Morris County Educational Services Commission to competitively bid our regular and special education transportation routes. First Student Bus Company currently provides transportation for all our regular in-district routes including Boonton High School. Special education and non-public contractors vary, as do the surrounding districts sharing these routes with us, as a means of saving money.

All of the in-district transportation routes are created and maintained by the business office each year and reviewed by the police department for safety. The routes are developed by the business office and reviewed by the Board of Education’s Transportation Committee and bus contractor each summer. Bus passes are typically mailed out mid August and routes and pick ups are refined during the next four to six weeks.

  • Applications for Request for Transportation should be submitted to your school's administrative assistant.  Bus passes will be mailed out by the end of August.
  • Applications for Change in Transportation should also be submitted to your school's administrativve assistant and will also be mailed out by the end of August.
  • Applications for Non-public Transportation (B6T forms) are due at each respective private school by the March 10th preceding the requested transportation school year.
  • Applications for Non-domicile Transportation are due in the business office by the August 1st  preceding the requested transportation school year.
