Superintendent Search

The Lincoln Park Board of Education is in the process of selecting the permanent Superintendent of Schools to start work in the District July 1, 2026. Kathleen Helewa Educational Consultants, LLC has been appointed to facilitate the search process. Ms. Helewa comes to us with extensive experience in conducting successful superintendent searches throughout New Jersey.

We are committed to transparency and involving all Lincoln Park stakeholders in this important selection process. As part of this process, Ms. Helewa is conducting a detailed survey with all staff, administrators, parents and community stakeholders. The survey is designed to identify ideal characteristics and qualifications for the next Superintendent of Schools. Results of these surveys will be shared with the Board of Education to help shape the final parameters of the Superintendent search.

The Superintendent Search Process

Update:  December 5

As of the close of the application window on December 3, twenty-nine candidates have applied for the position of Superintendent. 

The Lincoln Park Board of Education will convene in executive session during its meeting on Saturday, December 13 to examine each of the candidates' qualifications and to determine who will be selected for first-round interviews, using the insights gained from the in-person stakeholder input sessions, and the online input survey, which garnered 108 responses by the close date of December 4.   Thank you to those who gave their time for and offered their thoughts in the input session and survey.   We look forward to continuing to provide updates on the search process as they occur.
