GRADING SYSTEM:

Know vocabulary studied up to that point, not just a vocabulary list.Expect a quiz every class, tests every four weeks.Refer to google slides, quizlet.com, your notebook and your binder to review vocabulary.  Written and speaking quizzes and tests (timed writings, role-plays, skits, Star Academy, and story retells)Complete 1 LOTO category every class. CLASS PARTICIPATION:

< >Earn 100 points for your class participation average per week.Each class starts with 70 points/euros per day. Earn points/euros by raising your hand, being prepared, working quietly.You can’t earn euros when you are absent.  Make up euros by getting missed notes.Lose 5 euros for disrupting class.1 infraction – warning and name on board, 2 infractions – check by your name and short talk with teacher after class, 3 infractions – stay with the teacher at lunch/after school for long talk.ONE project each marking period in  5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  Hand in your project on time - 10 points off for each day your project is late.

Bonuses are paid every 2 weeks.  Students have the choice to keep their individual bonus euros in an envelope for the shopping day or donate their bonus to the class.  It is each student’s responsibility to keep their bonus money safe. 

Fines can be paid by shaking Madame’s hand and sincerely apologizing (first offense only), writing a sincere apology letter to Madame (second offense), writing a 100-word story or essay in French without the use of a translator (third offense; 5th, 6th grade, French+: illustrated vocabulary dictionary for 20 words).
