5th Grade Summer Reading

 

Handmade Scrapbook or Digital Scrapbook Directions for Fiction

After reading the novel of your choice, you will create a handmade scrapbook or a digital scrapbook version using Google Slides. Below are the directions for creating your project. *  Bring your handmade scrapbook to school on the first day. If you are choosing to create your scrapbook digitally, you must use your lincpk.com account and share it with your homeroom teacher prior to the first day of school. See below for teacher email addresses.

PAGE 1 OR SLIDE 1: Title of book, Author & Report by (your name)

 

PAGE 2 OR SLIDE 2: Setting – Where does this story take place? When does it take place? (Should contain at least 3 sentences with at least 2 images)

 

PAGE 3 OR SLIDE 3: Main Character(s) – Who is/are the main character(s)?

(Provide a brief description using 2-3 sentences for each character with at least 1 image for each)

 

PAGE 4 OR SLIDE 4: Summary - Explain the plot of the story (summary of events).

(Should contain at least 7-8 sentences and at least 3-4 images)

 

PAGE 5 OR SLIDE 5: Resolution – How does the main character solve his/her problem?  (Should contain at least 2-3 sentences and at least 1-2 images)

 

PAGE 6 OR SLIDE 6: My Favorite Part – What is your favorite part of the story? What did you like the most about this book? (Should contain at least 3 sentences with at least 2-3 images)

Images can include, but are not limited to computer generated, colorful hand-drawn, and cutouts from magazines or newspapers.
